About

As a professional coach I will draw upon my life experiences working with parents, children and young adult staff through my 25 years of owning and operating Camp Manitou, an overnight summer camp situated in the wilderness of Parry Sound. With over 450 campers and 220 staff per summer I have had the privilege to work with so many inspiring people who have contributed to my life’s journey. Prior to this, I worked for 14 years in three other vocations. I received my law degree from Osgoode Hall and realized very quickly this career was not aligned with my strengths and values. I then ran a small real estate development company building government housing and office condos. I then became the CEO of Canada’s first web site development company “E-commerce” which I subsequently sold because I needed to find a career that inspired me and took advantage of my skillset. I then felt it was time at age 39 to pursue my dream career of running and operating Camp Manitou with my business partner Jeff Wilson. This career was the best decision of my life.

I love to learn and have found the coaching courses through Adler both life- altering and stimulating. I have completed the Infant and Child Development Course through the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. I also am currently enrolled in positive psychology courses.

I have always contributed 20% of my time to charitable causes as I believe that happiness in life is a result of the positive relationships we have, having gratitude for each day and being able to give back to others.

I have a wonderful wife of 35 years, three daughters and two grandchildren. My life journey continues to evolve and I believe we never know what exciting chapter is ahead but we must always present ourselves with opportunities for those chapters to be written while ensuring that our strengths and values are in alignment to allow for fulfilment and happiness
